Your religion cannot stop you from getting saved just as religion cannot get anyone saved. Whether you are a Moslem, Hinduist, Judaist, Christian, Buddhist, etc., God wants you to be saved so that you may have grace to enter the kingdom of God where you will enjoy eternal life of peace and prosperity.
Has anyone told you before that getting saved means you have to leave your religion to join another religion? Are you wary about receiving salvation of God because you think it will make you a member of another religion? There is no truth in that. Salvation is a free gift from God for all people. It has nothing to do with joining any religion. If you are a Moslem and you are very comfortable being a Moslem, you can still be saved as a Moslem. The same thing for people of other religions. You do not need to become a Christian in order for you to be saved. Becoming a Christian is never a requirement for salvation.
Religion is like an identity to many people, families, communities, ethnic or racial groups and even nations. God is very much aware of how much importance humans attached to their identity. Religion has been used to control and dominate others which has made people to be very sensitive to the issue of religion. The salvation that God brought to mankind has nothing to do with religion or any form of identity. God wants you be saved without losing your identity. Being saved does not mean changing your cherished identity to take up someone else identity. You will still be saved the way you are. Anyone that is saved becomes a Believer and Believers don’t lose or gain religious identity.
Are you living in a family, community or country where it is compulsory for everyone to belong to a particular approved official religion? Like places where it is risky both to life and to economic survival to refuse to adhere to the official religion? Are you afraid that you getting saved will be interpreted to mean you have joined another religion? There is no basis for fear when it comes to the issue of salvation. God made salvation easy and peaceful that nothing could be able to legally or illegally stand against your way of getting saved.
You can be saved while you continue to associate with the official religion of the family, community or state where you live. Salvation from God brings freedom, peace, joy and hopefulness and not risk. Salvation secures your life and your future and was not designed to put your life in danger. God wants you to become saved without adding any sorrow to your life.
Do you see getting saved as connecting to a particular religion especially Christianity? Are you now confused because it is risky to connect with Christianity based on the circumstances of where you live or because of your identity? What God said is that you can accept salvation and still keep your religion because salvation from God has nothing to do with any religion such as Christianity. Anyone who become saved has become a Believer and a Believer has no religious attachment. Believers have received the freedom to associate with any religion because in them dwells the Spirit of truth.
Do you think that religious restriction or prohibition where you live will not allow you to become saved? Are you afraid of becoming saved because you might be considered to be violating a given law? I want you to know that salvation has nothing to do with religion. Getting saved makes your life very secured and has no religion attached to it. God made it religious free so that people everywhere and under any given circumstances could be saved without violating any human law. As long as you cannot violate any law by breathing, then you cannot violate any law by getting saved. Salvation makes you a better you.
Are you someone that doesn’t like religion and for that reason you have concluded that salvation is not for you? Do you see getting saved to be the same as becoming a religious person? It is not so. You cannot equate salvation with religion. Salvation is about freedom while religion is about restriction and control. To become saved has nothing to do with any religion and salvation does not require you to join any religion. God wants you to be saved without you having to join any religion which is the reason He brought salvation outside the religious circle. You become a Believer if you accept the salvation from God and do not need to attach yourself to any religion.
BRIEF ORIGIN OF RELIGION
All the religions of the world have certain things in common. They believe in the existence of a supernatural being(s) who has control over nature and natural phenomena. They all believe that connecting to the supernatural being is very vital to humans for numerous reasons such as being alive, overcoming evil, enjoying life of peace and prosperity now and in the world to come.
There are many religions in the world ranging from very local ones with small number of followers from a particular locality to big ones that has large number of followers in all parts of the world. We have religious groups like the African traditional religions, Baha’i, Buddhism, Christianity, Confucianism, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism, Judaism, Shinto, Sikhism, Taoism, Zoroastrianism, etc. God was not behind the formation of religion because God did not create humans to seek for Him nor to worship Him. He created human beings to be His family and an extension of Himself like offspring.
We strayed from God and in our bid to locate the presence of God and restore relationship with Him, we started religion which later became hijacked by Satan and his demons who then turned our religion into a means to make sure we do not achieve our desired relationship with God. The intention of religion was very good, but the reality of religion is the opposite of its intention. Religion became a tool for control and enslavement. Through religion, humans became slaves controlled by spirits who pretends to be the God we are seeking for and claims to have solutions to our needs and answers to our questions. With threats, fears and lies humans became subjected to master-servant relation through religion without achieving their original religious desire.
God is now calling on everyone to stop looking for Him, but to receive Him since He is not far from any of us. The time of religion which was the time when people were looking for God is over. God has sent His chosen one to show us who God is and open our eyes to see God right inside of us. God want everyone to be saved from our religious bondage and slavery, become free to receive His truth which is the only answer to our numerous questions and needs.
What God want is that people everywhere should be saved by coming to the knowledge of the truth about God and about Jesus Christ, the Holy One He sent in whose name salvation has been established for all. What salvation requires is for one to believe in God’s truth and in the name of Jesus Christ as Lord over all creations and practice truth with faith, hope and love based on accurate knowledge.
This has nothing to do with religion because the time for religion is over. This is the time of salvation and God is calling on every soul to come to Jesus Christ and receive salvation no matter what your religion or tradition is. Humans have been looking for God through religion without getting even close to Him, but through salvation, God is now showing Himself and His plans to humans. The same God people have been using religion to search for without any success is now using salvation to show Himself freely and plainly to people.
